  We are proud to offer our patients minimally invasive cardiac surgery (also known as MICS). MICS uses smaller incisions and different approaches to perform surgical procedures on the heart. Determination of whether a patient is a candidate for a minimally invasive approach to cardiac surgery is based on multiple factors that are assessed by the surgeons.  

         If a patient is determined to be an appropriate candidate, the procedure has the following
         benefits to patients:
            - Shorter hospital stay
            - Faster return to daily living
            - Better recovery due to smaller incision
            - No sternotomy
